1) I am too obsessed with Phoenix/Maya (from Phoenix Wright;Ace Attorney)
2) The DS is my favourite game platform...but mine is kind of broken (though it still works) which is tragic for me ;A; all i wish is to have a playing session with a whole, pristine, shiny, beautiful DS...*waxes poetic on the merits of the DS Lite* I neeeeeed one T_T
3) I started Zelda - Ocarina of Time the other day (on an emulator). I cannot. stop. playing. Goodbye, homework for the next few months
4) I have so much trouble concentrating on anime...whenever I watch I feel like I'm wasting time o_o (which makes no sense coming from someone who plays videogames all the time..)
5) I have two KH 2 Action figures (Axel and Roxas) and am angling for Sora and Kairi simply to complete the collection. Even though Kairi doesn't even have a weapon or anything cool like that.
6) Everything I've written so far has been related to video games
7) I'm currently planning a novel - I reckon the idea has potential
8) I find myself to be attracted to gothic lolita style clothing (courtesy of the Lapin Angelique brand in TWEWY). It's so pretty Not that I'd ever be able to wear any without looking like a complete idiot.

Anyway...today I finally finished Vampire Knight Guilty (after months of procrastinating)and I hated the ending. HATED. Argh. I HATE KURAN KANAME. HATE. HAAAAAATE *gnashes teeth* I can't quite define why, and it's not entirely because I prefer Yuuki/Zero to Yuuki/Kaname (I'm not a Die For Our Ship sort of person)...argh. *pulls hair out* Yuuki/Kaname is just...wrong. Plus Zero doesn't get a proper ending. Yuuki and Kaname wander off into the sunset, Kaien returns to Doofus Mode and it just ENDS which is so frustrating because I hate Kaname and I wanted to see Yuuki reject him and kill him or something before the series ended(lol ) I'm just so dissatisfied with it. Argh.
(I sure said 'argh' a lot of times, didn't I?)

Anyway...go play Ocarina of Time, people. It's really, really goood - I feel like I'm actually in Hyrule when I play.

And today's journal title comes from 'Darkness of the Unknown', the supremely awesome music that plays when you're fighting all five billion stages of Xemnas being the final boss in Kingdom Hearts II (expect a KH2 rant later on in the journal). Anyway, here goes... *cough cough*

*skids into room* "HONEY, I'M HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME!" <--I've just been away for about two and a half weeks *because it hasn't been exactly three weeks if you think about it* Alas, not many photos were taken of the holiday (i think) but I may post some later.
But anyway, I'm back! with hundreds of deviations and journals and messages to sort through! But never fear, I shall reply and comment etc one day.

Lately, I've been getting the Tetris Effect with that fantastic game 'The World Ends with You'. Whenever I close my eyes I keep getting images of the battle system. People, this is why you do not play a single game all day only stopping for eats and the obligatory afternoon walk. TWEWY is a very difficult game, because you have to fight on both screens of the DS at once and even just one screen is hard enough to keep under control. These holidays I've turned off Auto-Play (which makes the computer control your partner -who is on the top screen- and lets you concentrate on the touch screen which has the main character) and turned to Manual. That means I have full control of both characters on both screens. Which is difficult but I've finally mastered it! I'm actually good at this game! I'm not good at many games, I can't even play Kingdom Hearts II very well, kept losing on Beginner mode and falling off platforms and generally failing despite its fun factor, but I can actually play TWEWY! Goes to show that playing all day and actually liking the battle system (I can't get enough of it) does makes you good at stuff. I should have learned this from my brother's exploits. He thinks that Sephiroth of KH2 is easy. Sephiroth can kill you in two hits, on Beginner mode. -_-"

And my brother downloaded the American release of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days on Craig's computer in NSW, which got him in trouble, but it is so mega AWESOME BECAUSE I CAN ACTUALLY PLAY IT! NEW KINGDOM HEARTS! ROXAS AS MAIN CHARACTER FOR ENTIRE GAME! THE ENTIRE ORGANISATION IS ON. YOUR. SIDE. And it adds that extra tragicness to KH2 because you know that Roxas is going to forget all about Axel and get absorbed by Sora, and we're actually seeing their friendship evolve through this game! And we know that one day Roxas, in Sora, is going to kill everyone in the Organisation, who aren't actually bad people. Most of them anyway. These people are talking to him, helping him, giving him items...it's tragic. And Roxas is just so different from Sora, how could they be the same person at all? *rants* He has to get erased from existence (basically), nothing he's ever done counts for anything, because he wasn't supposed to exist? It's not as though he's living through Sora, he's trapped inside the guy. They're separate people - Sora has none of Roxas's memories and memories are a big part of what define a person.

So I've managed to get permission to go on Uncle Craig's computer. Turns out we're staying at Woollongong - just south of Sydney- for a while, with the aunt and uncle. So much stuff to catch up on....maybe I'll just leave it till I get back home to Melbourne

I GOT A COMPUTER FOR MY BIRTHDAY. 8D! I'm really happy and now i can play chess and Sims and go on dA and MSN and all that without it being criminally slow...oh yeah, and homework. xD
As for that contest of mine which has been sitting around for ages, my apologies. I sent a note around to the judges a while back but some of them have been a bit slow in responding. results up as soon as i know what they are. now..off the computer, gotta do some Chinese homework

How's this for a kick to your self esteem o_o [link] i mean, it's brilliant, and God chose her to be special..but..i'm jealous anyway must..not..feel...jealous.. but seriously! at age 8, at 7...she shouldn't have been able to comprehend the themes that were in her artwork argh...brain..collapsing..

I've just been wondering lately, what is my style of art/drawing/colouring? I think the way i draw is sorta sketchy, gestural and messy, not all neat - more lines than shading - and i use it for colouring birds and sketching.
However, lately i've realised that i'm using other peoples styles for my colouring work -_- which is annoying. Especially in that i can't use my original style/method for colouring well. For example, my drawing'Wounded Predator' only works in that style. Try to imagine it any other way
so..yeah.

I saw Billy Elliott last week. It was awesome, although not as FREAKING BRILLIANT as WICKED: the musical. ALL OF YOU WHO HAVENT SEEN WICKED YOU GOTTA SEE IT. OR READ THE BOOK OR SOMETHING. ITS MY NEW OBSESSION..
